Without MOS: static rate-based pricing
Out of the box, Kabaido CPQ supports static pricing settings - material cost tables, fixed operation rates, markup percentages, and quantity break rules. This works well for manufacturers who track costs in spreadsheets or external systems and want a straightforward way to translate product configurations into prices.
With MOS: full machine and resource-based costing
When connected to the Manufacturing OS add-on, pricing becomes dynamic. MOS provides real machine rates, resource utilisation, consumable costs, and process-step durations - all feeding directly into the price calculation. The quote reflects actual shop economics: setup time, cycle time per operation, tooling wear, and overhead allocation.
Transparent cost breakdowns
Every quote includes a full cost stack - material, operations, overhead, margin - visible to your team (and optionally to the customer). No black-box pricing. Your sales team understands exactly why a quote is priced the way it is, and can adjust margin targets or override individual cost elements when needed.
